Update to Windows XP Service Pack 2 now!
Extech Support recommends that all Windows XP users should download and install Service Pack 2 (SP2). This provides enhanced security for your PCs, for instance a new firewall firewall and greater internet security.
To install Windows XP SP2 for home/single users:
1) Click Start-Programs-Windows Update, or go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
2) Install anything if prompted
3) Click Express Install, or Review and Install Updates
4) Click the Install Button.
Corporate Users:
Many of our larger corporate customers, will have Windows Updates automatically deployed from a server on your network. If this is the case, you do not need to do anything. If you are unsure if we manage your updates, or to request that this be done for you, please email support@extech.co.uk.
Otherwise, please go to www.extech.co.uk/links.asp and click on the link to download SP2 to you network. This can then be installed by multiple users by saving to a network location.
